"Wonderful World" is an intense, turbulent thrill ride that takes place in a world that has just suffered from a catastrophic event, leaving civilization in chaos.
1. Survival
The show begins with etherial pads and samples, and echo solos of "What A Wonderful World." Intense electronics and percussion transition into a driving
tempo, which progresses into a trombone feature. (While any low brass instruments can be used here, the quality of sound from the trombone would be ideal,
as well as the visual effect generated from staging a large trombone section.) The first big impact of the show is hits the audience with a wall of sound,
with thick, dissonant chords and a dark, lyrical melody. The rest of the opener contains features for brass, percussion, and advanced technical features
for woodwinds. A percussion feature transitions into an accelerando, which builds tension and concludes with powerful open chords to conclude this production.
2. Wonderful World
The "ballad" movement of the show, a dark, minor arrangement of "What A Wonderful World." Beginning with an echo piano sound with eerie samples,
a baritone or euphonium solo echos in the distance, reminding us of the world that once was. An alto saxophone solo stays in the minor key
taking us through the bridge, as a beautiful, major tonality flute solo enters to give us a temporary moment of relief and happiness. As the
rest of the band enters, we seamlessly transition back into a minor and dark tonality, building into the impact, a dark 12/8 swing groove
that blows the doors down with powerful chords. This very unique arrangement of this song is extremely effective, and is sure to get the
crowd on their feet.

3. Point of No Return
The end of "Wonderful World" transitions seamlessly into a powerful, driving arrangement of "Verdi's Requiem." We build in tension to the final
statement, a recapitulation of "What A Wonderful World" in an extremely intense, minor impact, as the world crumbles and we realize life on
Earth will never be the same. The show concludes in a fast tempo, recapping "Verdi's Requiem."
